TRANSMISSION GEAR CLASH SHIFT FORK

MODELS: 1982 C/K 1500 THRU 2500 MODELS WITH 6.2L DIESEL AND 4-SPEED MANUAL OVERDRIVE 89MM TRANSMISSION

In early 1982 Production, gear clash on the above models, is associated with the mispositioning of the shift forks due to the shifter control assembly. The shifter control assembly was changed. See Parts Listing below and follow Repair Procedures in X-8232 for service instructions.
