THE CURRENT ELECTRONIC SPARK CONTROL DIAGRAMS ON PAGES 6D-48 AND 6D-57 OF THE 1984 LIGHT DUTY SERVICE MANUAL ARE INCORRECT. THE DIAGRAMS SHOWN ARE FOR THE 1983 SYSTEM. THE CORRECT DIAGRAMS ARE ILLUSTRATED IN THIS BULLETIN AND SHOULD BE USED WHEN DIAGNOSING 1984 ESC RELATED CONDITIONS. ILLUSTRATION NO. 1 - 1984 5.0L V8 WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. ILLUSTRATION NO. 2 - 1984 5.0L V8 WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION, MY6/M62 ONLY. ILLUSTRATION NO. 3 - 1984 5.0L V8 WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION, M20 ONLY. THESE DIAGRAMS ARE FOR THE 5.0L V8 ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH FEDERAL AND HIGH ALTITUDE EMISSIONS.
