LOOSENING OF HINGE AND LATCH FORM GLASS OF SWING-OUT WINDOW

MODELS: 1988 C/K EXTENDED CAB TRUCKS

Some 1988 C/K extended-cab trucks have experienced loosening of hinges and latches glued onto the glass of the side swing-out window.The new windows have hinges and latches bolted onto the glass. If replacement of a glued-on hinge or latch is required, all parts of the window (hinge, latch, and glass) must be replaced. Parts from the old design (glued-on parts) window are not interchangeable with parts from the new (bolt-on parts) window.

Replacement parts for the window are:

Vehicles built after June 27, 1988:

are equipped with the new bolted hinge design.
