GAGE REPLACEMENT

The 1988 C/K instrument cluster gage assem- blies are now serviced by GMSPO.

The instrument cluster gage replacement procedure is outlined in Section 8C-13 of the 1988 C/K Service Manual.

NOTICE: AC Delco will continue to exchange complete instrument clusters as out lined in GMC Truck Service Bulletin 88-T-5/Chevrolet Bulletin 88-06. Complete instrument cluster replacement will be required for electrical circuitry or odometer failures.

RECALIBRATION FOR CHANGE IN TIRE SIZE OR AXLE RATIO

If the vehicle tire size or axle ratio is changed, the speedometer must be recalibrated for accuracy. Use speedometer calibration service kit Part Number 25085515, which consists of connector, two clips and usage instructions. The connector can be used ten times. Clips are available in packages of 20, Part Number 25085993.
