NYLON COATED WHEEL WEIGHTS P/N'S FOR 1/4 TO 3 OZ. LISTED

MODELS: 1988 C/K MODEL TRUCKS WITH CAST ALUMINUM WHEELS

1988 C/K model trucks equipped with cast aluminum wheels now use new nylon coated clip-on wheel weights. These balance weights provide a much better appearance and are used on both the outboard and inboard rim flanges. They will not discolor, corrode, or damage the wheel, as may have been the case in the past with uncoated clip-on weights used on aluminum wheels. These nylon coated balance weights will fit most GM cast aluminum wheels and are available for service through GMSPO. They are available in 1/4 ounce increments ranging from 1/4 ounce to 3 ounces, P/N 9591358 through P/N 9591369 inclusively.

When installing the coated weights, care must be taken so that the nylon coating does not crack. It is recommended that a Teflon hammer be used, such as 85403 Nicholson Industrial Hammer (or equivalent), available through the Charles Strelinger Company, Warren, Michigan (313-268-4100).
