SLIDING REAR WINDOW RATTLES & LEAKS-INSTALL NEW RUN CHANNELS

SUBJECT: SLIDING REAR WINDOW RATTLES AND LEAKS (INSTALL NEW RUN CHANNELS)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988 - 1991 "C/K" VEHICLES -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some owners of 1988-1991 C/K trucks built with a sliding rear window (RPO A28) may comment about water leaks and wind noise from the lower glass run channel and glass rattling in the upper glass run channel.

To correct, it is necessary to replace the lower and the upper glass run channels. The new lower glass run channel has nine off-setting drain holes and a felt-like material has been added to the upper channels.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Remove lower glass run channel.

2. Remove upper glass run channels.

Note: Lubricate the glass run channels with a multipurpose lubricant before installing.

3. Install lower glass run channel.

4. Install upper glass run channels.
