The new 1992 Suburban, full-size utility, and crew cab vehicles represent General Motors state-of-the-art entries into an increasingly competitive marketplace. These redesigned vehicles incorporate many new features and benefits.
To enhance our opportunity to ensure customer satisfaction, as well as monitor the quality of the new features, an early quality feedback system has been established. A toll-free line (1-800-762-5773) has been installed at the Janesville assembly plant for dealer feedback. Dealers are encouraged to use this 800 number to report on any production quality condition observed or experienced with the new Suburban, full-size utility, or crew cab. This number will be effective from September 3, 1991 through April 15, 1992.
Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. CENTRAL STANDARD TIME Friday ONLY 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon CENTRAL STANDARD TIME
This number is intended tor dealer use only and concerns should be limited to production quality issues with the new 1992 Suburban, full- size utility, and crew cab.
At the time of your call, we ask that the dealership have a complete repair order on hand including the following information:
o VIN Number o Dealer Code o Dealer Name and City o Your Name o Dealer Contact Person o Dealer Phone Number o What was the customer's specific complaint? o What was done to correct the problem? o Labor & Trouble Codes Used o The specific condition you observed o The appropriate action you feel is needed to correct this observed condition
The 800 number is intended to gather valuable and timely information on production issues that will enable us to quickly identity and correct those conditions which may affect our customer's satisfaction. The number is not intended to provide parts assistance, repair information, or report safety concerns. Problems encountered in those areas should continue to be pursued through normal channels such as Technical Assistance or an assigned dealer contact representative.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
