GENERAL MOTORS HAS DETERMINED THAT CERTAIN 1992 C/K TRUCKS WITH A 5.0L ENGINE MAY HAVE AN INCORRECT ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) AND WILL REQUIRE A PROM CHANGE. CHECK FOR INCORRECT PROM AND REPAIR PER THE CHART IN THE PARTS INFORMATION SECTION OF THIS CAMPAIGN.

DUE TO THE STOP SALE ISSUED PRIOR TO VEHICLE SALE, IT IS ANTICIPATED THE VEHICLES SHOULD BE IN YOUR NEW VEHICLE INVENTORY AND SHOULD BE REPAIRED PRIOR TO RETAIL SALE. EACH VEHICLE CORRECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS OUTLINED IN THIS CAMPAIGN WILL REQUIRE A "CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL". EACH LABEL PROVIDES A SPACE TO INCLUDE THE CAMPAIGN NUMBER AND THE FIVE (5) DIGIT DEALER CODE OF THE DEALER PERFORMING THE CAMPAIGN SERVICE. THIS INFORMATION MAY BE INSERTED WITH A TYPEWRITER OR BALL POINT PEN.
EACH "CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL" IS TO BE LOCATED ON THE RADIATOR CORE SUPPORT IN AN AREA WHICH WILL BE VISIBLE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS BROUGHT IN FOR PERIODIC SERVICING BY THE OWNER.
APPLY "CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL" ONLY ON A CLEAN, DRY SURFACE.
