The following represents revised information for Section 7A in the 1992 and 1993 C/K Models Service Manual.
This supplements the information found under "Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Replacement" on page 7A2-86 of the 1992 C/K Models Service Manual and page 7Al7A-96 of the 1993 C/K Models Service Manual.
On all gasoline V-8 engines, the throttle position sensor is non-adjustable without retainers. In addition, on the 7.4L (V-8) engines, the (TP Sensor) has a horizontal electrical connector. On all other gasoline engines, the connector is vertical. For diesel engine (TP Sensor). Refer to SECTION 6C2.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
