Important: An 8 digit part identification number is stamped on the bottom of the throttle body casting. Refer to this number if servicing, or part replacement is required.

1. Remove the intake air resonator. Refer to Intake Air Resonator Replacement .
2. Remove the air inlet duct from the throttle body.
3. Disconnect the IAC valve and TP sensor electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the accelerator and cruise control cables.



5. Remove the throttle body retaining nuts.



6. Remove the throttle body assembly.



7. Remove the flange gasket and discard.
8. Clean the gasket surface of the intake manifold.

1. Install the new flange gasket.



2. Install the throttle body assembly.




Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the throttle body retaining nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

4. Connect the accelerator and cruise control cables.
5. Connect the IAC valve and TP sensor electrical connectors.



6. Install the air inlet duct to the throttle body.
7. Install the intake air resonator. Refer to Intake Air Resonator Replacement .
