Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 327047 Size: SH
  1. Open the engine control unit (ECU) adapter clip.
  2. Remove the ECU with the connectors still connected.
  3. Remove the adapter bolts and the adapter from the bracket.
  4. Remove the bracket bolts and the bracket from the fenderwell.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 327047 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the bracket and the bracket bolts to the fenderwell.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  2. Install the adapter and the adapter bolts to the bracket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (108 lb ft).

  3. Install the ECU with the connectors still connected.
  4. Close the ECU adapter clip.
