Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 358441  Size: SH
  1. Remove the battery negative cables from the batteries. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the upper intake manifold from the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
  3. Remove the turbocharger assembly from the engine block. Refer to Turbocharger in Turbocharger.
  4. Remove the clamp and the bolt from the oil pump drive.

  5. Object Number: 59768  Size: SH
  6. Remove the oil pump drive from the engine block.
  7. Remove the oil pump drive from the engine block.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 358444  Size: SH
  1. Install a new gasket to the oil pump drive.
  2. Important: Ensure that the oil pump drive seats fully into the engine block. Do not force the oil pump drive into the engine block.

  3. Index the drive with the camshaft gear and oil pump drive shaft.

  5. Install the oil pump drive to the engine

  6. Object Number: 358441  Size: SH
  7. Install the clamp.
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the bolt.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  11. Install the turbocharger to the engine block. Refer to Turbocharger in Turbocharger.
  12. Install the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
  13. Connect the battery negative cables to the batteries. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement in Engine Electrical.
