Disassembly Procedure

  1. Remove the turn signal switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Off Vehicle .

  2. Object Number: 354104  Size: SH
  3. Put the key in the "LOCK" position.
  4. Remove the lock retaining screw (2) from the steering column housing assembly.
  5. Remove the steering column lock cylinder set (1) from the steering column housing assembly.

Assembly Procedure


    Object Number: 354104  Size: SH
  1. Install the steering column lock cylinder set (1) into the steering column housing assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the lock retaining screw (2) into the steering column housing assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the lock retaining screw (2) to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the turn signal switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Off Vehicle .
