1. Disconnect the instrument cluster harness connector.
2. Connect a test lamp between terminals 24 and 20 in the instrument cluster harness connector.
3. Set the headlamp switch to the HEAD position.
4. Set the Ip lamps dimmer switch to the HI position.

Did the test lamp light?

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 3

Inspect the high beam indicator lamp bulb for an open. If the lamp is OK, replace the instrument cluster.

Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Is the repair complete?

1. Keep the headlamps in HI.
2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 24 in the instrument cluster harness connector and chassis ground.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair the open in CKT 250 (BLK) between terminal 20 in the instrument cluster harness connector and S231.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Locate and repair the open in CKT 11 (LT GRN) between terminal A in the IP lamps dimmer switch harness connector and terminal 24 in the instrument cluster harness connector.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
