  1. Crank the engine.
  2. Observe the park brake indicator lamp.

Did the park brake indicator lamp light?

  1. Remove the daytime running lights (DRL) control module from the harness connector.
  2. Use a J 39200 between terminal A in the DRL control module harness connector and chassis ground.
  3. Crank the engine.

Does the DMM indicate continuity?

--

Go to Step 3

Replace the DRL control module. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the ignition switch harness connector C2.
  3. Connect a jumper between connector C2, terminal D and chassis ground.
  4. Remove the DRL control module. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement
  5. Use a J 39200 between terminal A in the DRL control module harness connector and chassis ground.

Does the DMM indicate continuity?

Replace the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1134 (LT BLU) between S227 and the DRL control module.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1134 (LT BLU) between S227 and the ignition switch.
