Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the instrument panel trim plate bezel (2). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 199688  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the screws from the vent assembly.
  6. Remove the vent assembly.
  7. Remove the headlamp switch from the front of the vent assembly.
  8. Push inward on the retaining clips of the switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 199688  Size: SH
  1. Install the headlamp switch onto the vent assembly or the instrument cluster bezel.
  2. 1.1. Align the switch to the vent assembly.
    1.2. Snap the switch into position.
  3. Install the vent assembly onto the trim plate bezel using the retaining screws.
  4. Connect the electrical connectors.
  5. Install the instrument panel trim plate bezel (2). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
