  1. Remove the low engine coolant level indicator switch harness connector.
  2. Use a J39200 DMM from the low engine coolant level indicator switch from terminal B to chassis ground.

Does the DMM indicate continuity?

Go to Step 2

  1. Connect a fused jumper from low engine coolant level indicator switch harness connector terminal B to A.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Observe the lamp.

Does the lamp turn on?

--

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the low engine coolant level indicator switch and the ground.

Is the low coolant lamp operative?

--

System OK

--

Replace the low coolant level indicator switch.

Is the low coolant lamp operative?

--

System OK

--

  1. Leave the jumper connected.
  2. Backprobe the multifunction alarm module with a test lamp from terminal B to B+.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
  2. Disconnect the fused jumper between terminals A and B of the harness connector.
  3. Disconnect the multifunction alarm module.
  4. Connect a fused jumper from multifunction alarm module harness connector terminal B2 to B+
  5. Observe the lamp.

Does the lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 1478 (LT GRN) between the low engine coolant level indicator switch and the multifunction alarm module.

Is the low coolant lamp operative?

--

System OK

Replace the multifunction alarm module.

Is the low coolant lamp operative?

Repair the open in CKT 68 (YEL/BLK) between the driver information center and the multifunction alarm module.

Is the low coolant lamp operative?

System OK
