Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement T50

Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the front wheelhouse panel.

  3. Object Number: 198949  Size: SH
  4. Remove the front intake air duct (1) from the air filter housing.

  5. Object Number: 199097  Size: SH
  6. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir hose (1) and the clamps (2).
  7. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir overflow hose and the clamp.

  8. Object Number: 199107  Size: SH
  9. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir mounting bolts.
  10. Drain the coolant from the coolant recovery reservoir.
  11. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir (2) from the mounting brackets (1).
  12. Inspect the recovery tank mounting brackets for cracks. Replace the brackets if necessary.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 199107  Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant recovery reservoir (2) to the mounting bracket.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the coolant recovery reservoir mounting bolts (1).
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the bolts of the coolant recovery reservoir with the sloped hood to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
        • Tighten the bolts of the coolant recovery reservoir without the sloped hood to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Install the coolant recovery reservoir overflow hose (1) and the clamp (2).
  6. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose and the clamps.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant recovery reservoir hose clamps to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  8. Install the front intake air duct (1) to the air filter housing.
  9. Install the front wheelhouse panel.
  10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
