Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 199927  Size: SH
  1. Block the wheels.
  2. Apply the parking brake.
  3. Position a drain pan in order to catch the fluid that will leak out. Do not reuse the old fluid.
  4. Remove the parking brake pump assembly electrical connector.
  5. Remove the pressure sensor electrical connector.

  7. Remove the hydraulic pipes.

  8. Object Number: 199927  Size: SH
  9. Remove the parking brake pump assembly mounting bolts.
  10. Remove the parking brake pump assembly.
  11. Remove the pressure sensor from the parking brake pump assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 199927  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the pressure sensor from the parking brake pump assembly.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the pressure sensor to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the parking brake pump assembly.
  4. Install the parking brake pump assembly mounting bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the parking brake pump assembly mounting bolts to 37 N·m (27 lb ft).

  6. Install the hydraulic pipes.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the hydraulic pipe fittings to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  8. Install the pressure sensor electrical connector.
  9. Install the parking brake pump assembly electrical connector.
  10. Fill the reservoir with DEXRON® III transmission fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Park Brake Fluid .
  11. Cycle the system.
  12. Check the fluid level.
  13. Remove the wheel blocks.
