All male pipe threads not having pre-applied pipe sealant (burnt orange in color) and those parts with male pipe threads with pre-applied sealant that have been assembled and disassembled a maximum of five times must have pipe sealant applied before assembly.

1. Clean the threads.

Remove all grease and oil with a clean cloth.

2. Inspect the threads for damage.

If the threads are damaged, replace the part.

Important: The pipe thread sealant is not permissible on any internal diameters.

3. Apply the pipe sealant with Teflon® GM P/N 12346004 or equivalent to the first few threads.
