  1. With the engine off, rotate the fuel control lever (3) to the wide open throttle position.
  2. Make sure that the throttle cable pulls on the modulator cable as the fuel control lever is moved toward the full throttle position.
  3. Adjust the clevis (2) to a position that leaves a 0.5 mm (0.02 in) gap between the clevis pin (4) and the end of the clevis slot.
  4. If the clevis cannot be adjusted in order to obtain the gap, use the following procedure:
  5. 4.1. Move the adjusting nut (1) on the modulator cable as necessary in order to position the clevis in the area of the specified gap.
    4.2. Adjust the clevis (2) to a position that leaves a 0.5 mm (0.02 in) gap between the clevis pin (4) and the end of the clevis slot.
  6. Return the fuel control lever (3) to the idle position.
  7. Test the transmission for normal shift operations.
