Removal Procedure
  1. Trace the transmission oil cooler line in order to locate the external oil filter mounted on the frame rail.
  2. Place a container under the oil filter in order to catch any draining oil.

    3. Object Number: 201488 Size: SH
  3. Remove the oil filter from the oil filter cover.

Installation Procedure
  1. Apply a light coat of transmission oil to the filter seal.

    2. Object Number: 201488 Size: SH
  2. Install the oil filter to the oil filter cover.
  3. Hand tighten the oil filter to the oil filter cover.

    4. Add 0.946 liters (1 quart) of automatic transmission oil to the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
