1. Turn OFF the engine.
2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
3. Place the transmission shift control in REVERSE.
4. Connect a test lamp from CKT 24 (LT GRN) at the upfitter connector C212 terminal K to chassis ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a test lamp from CKT 24 (LT GRN) at the backup lamp switch to chassis ground.

Did the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

Connect a test lamp from CKT 41 (BRN) at the backup lamp switch to chassis ground.

Did the test lamp light?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair the open in body wiring between the upfitter connector C212 and the backup lamps.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Locate and repair the open in CKT 24 (LT GRN) between the backup lamp switch and the upfitter connector C212.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Inspect the adjustment of the backup lamp switch.
2. If the backup lamp switch is properly adjusted, replace the backup lamp switch.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 41 (BRN) between the IP fuse block and the backup lamp switch or the neutral switch.

Is the repair complete?
