Turn Signal Lamps

Voltage applies to the turn signal switch through the hazard lamps flasher at all times through the HAZ circuit breaker.

With the turn signal switch in the left turn position, voltage applies to both the left turn indicator and the left front park/turn lamp CKT 14 (LT BLU). Voltage also applies to the upfitter connector.

The lamps go on immediately. The lamps begin to flash when the current flow heats up the timing element in the flasher. The element repeatedly opens and closes the circuit.

If the multifunction switch is in the right turn position, voltage will apply to the right turn lamps in the same manner.

Hazard Lamps

Voltage applies at all times through the HAZ circuit breaker and the hazard lamps flasher to the normally open contacts of the hazard warning switch. When the hazard warning switch is ON, voltage applies to both front and rear turn lamps. All of the turn lamps and both turn indicators flash ON and OFF.

Park Lamps

Voltage applies at all times through the TLMKR circuit breaker. Voltage to the headlamp switch supplies at all times through the PNL circuit breaker and CKT 1040 (ORN). When the headlamp switch is in the PARK or HEAD position, voltage supplies through CKT 13 (LT BLU) to the coil of the lighting relay in order to energize the relay. Voltage then passes through the normally open contacts of the relay through CKT 9 (BRN) to the park lamps.
