Removal Procedure
- Raise and suitably support
the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Support the transmission with safety stands.
- Remove the engine rear mount bolt, washer, mount, and spacer.
- Slightly raise the transmission,
if necessary.
- Remove the engine rear mount bracket bolts and washers.
- Remove the engine rear
mount bracket bolts and washers.
- Remove the engine rear mount bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install the engine rear
mount bracket.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the engine rear mount bracket washers and bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Install the engine rear
mount bracket washer and bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Lower the transmission, if necessary.
- Install the engine rear
mount spacer, mount, washer, and bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Remove the transmission safety stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
