Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank Right Fuel Tank

1. Remove the right fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement - Right Side .

Important: Clean and cap the EVAP pipe connections in order to prevent contamination.




2. Disconnect the EVAP vapor pipe from the right fuel tank sender assembly (5).



3. Disconnect the EVAP vapor hose/pipe (2) from the two vent valves (1) at the front and rear of the fuel tank.



4. Disconnect the EVAP vapor hose/pipe (2) from the pressure relief valve (3).



5. Disconnect the EVAP pipe retaining straps and remove the hose/pipe assembly (4).

1. Position the EVAP hose/pipe assembly (4) on the fuel tank and install the retaining straps.



2. Connect the EVAP vapor hose/pipe (2) to the pressure relief valve (3).



3. Connect the EVAP vapor hose/pipe (2) to the two vent valves (1) at the front and rear of the fuel tank.



4. Connect the EVAP vapor pipe to the fuel tank sender assembly (5).
5. Install the right fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement - Right Side .

Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank Intermediate Pipe

1. Remove the left fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement - Left Side .



2. Disconnect the EVAP vapor pipe (2) from the EVAP canister (4).



3. Remove the two bolts (2) retaining the left tank fuel pipe bundle to the crossmember.
4. Remove the EVAP vapor pipe (3) from the intermediate fuel bundle.

1. Position the EVAP vapor pipe (3) in the intermediate fuel bundle retaining clips on the crossmember.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the two bolts (2) retaining the left tank fuel pipe bundle.

Tighten
Tighten the two bolts to 22.5 N·m (17 lb ft).




3. Connect the EVAP vapor pipe (2) to the EVAP canister (4).
4. Install the left fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement - Left Side .

Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank Left Fuel Tank

Important: Clean and cap the EVAP pipe connections in order to prevent contamination.

1. Remove the left fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement - Left Side .



2. Disconnect the EVAP vapor pipe from the left fuel tank sender assembly (5).



3. Disconnect the EVAP vapor hose/pipe (2) from the two vent valves (1) at the front and rear of the fuel tank.



4. Disconnect the EVAP pipe (2) from the pressure relief valve (3).

Disconnect the EVAP pipe retaining straps and remove the hose/pipe assembly.

1. Position the EVAP pipe (2) on the fuel tank and install the retaining straps.



2. Connect the EVAP vapor hose/pipe (2) to the pressure relief valve (3).



3. Connect the EVAP vapor hose/pipe (2) to the two vent valves (1) at the front and rear of the fuel tank.



4. Connect the EVAP vapor pipe to the left fuel tank sender assembly (5).
5. Install the left fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement - Left Side .
