Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Disconnect all of the electrical connectors from the control module and the module interface.

  3. Object Number: 201605  Size: SH
  4. Remove the 3 screws securing the module interface to the bracket.
  5. Remove the 4 screws, the washers, and the nuts securing the bracket to the frame rail.
  6. Remove the 4 screws securing the control module to the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 201605  Size: SH
  1. Install the 4 screws in order to secure the control module to the bracket.
  2. Install the 4 screws, the washers, and the nuts in order to secure the bracket assembly to the frame rail.
  3. Install the 3 screws in order to secure the module interface to the bracket.
  4. Connect all of the electrical connectors to the control module and to the module interface.

  6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
