Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 376289  Size: SH

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Use the following steps in order to remove the switch pad (3) assembly from the horn:
  3. 2.1. Pry up the switch assembly at the upper edge of the pad.
    2.2. Pull off the switch pad assembly.
  4. Disconnect the positive horn switch lead (2) and the ground lead (4) from the horn pad (3).

  6. Disconnect the relay lead (1) if necessary.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the relay lead (1) if necessary.

  2. Object Number: 376289  Size: SH
  3. Connect the positive horn switch lead (2) and the ground lead (4) to the horn pad (3).
  4. Push the horn switch pad assembly (3) onto the steering wheel (1).
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
