The audible warning system alerts the driver of a system concern or
a critical vehicle condition and is controlled by the multifunction alarm
module (MFAM). The MFAM produces an audible warning and illuminates one of
the following indicators:
| The check gages audible warning will activate
when one of the following conditions exist: |
• | The engine coolant temperature is at or above 107°C (225°F).
The audible warning will activate at a rate of 2 pulses per second. |
• | The engine coolant temperature is at or above 111°C (232°F).
The audible warning will activate at a rate of 5 pulses per second. |
• | The engine oil pressure is at or below 34 kPa (5 psi).
The audible warning will activate at a rate of 5 pulses per second. |
| The low air audible warning will activate
when the air pressure in the air brake system is at or below 483 kPa
(70 psi). The audible warning will activate at a continuous rate. |
| The low coolant audible warning will activate
when the engine coolant level is low, and the engine coolant level switch
is closed. The audible warning will activate at a rate of 5 pulses per
second. |
