The audible warning system alerts the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition and is controlled by the multifunction alarm module (MFAM). The MFAM produces an audible warning and illuminates one of the following indicators:

    • CHECK GAGES
        The check gages audible warning will activate when one of the following conditions exist:
      • The engine coolant temperature is at or above 107°C (225°F). The audible warning will activate at a rate of 2 pulses per second.
      • The engine coolant temperature is at or above 111°C (232°F). The audible warning will activate at a rate of 5 pulses per second.
      • The engine oil pressure is at or below 34 kPa (5 psi). The audible warning will activate at a rate of 5 pulses per second.
    • LOW AIR
        The low air audible warning will activate when the air pressure in the air brake system is at or below 483 kPa (70 psi). The audible warning will activate at a continuous rate.
    • LOW COOLANT
        The low coolant audible warning will activate when the engine coolant level is low, and the engine coolant level switch is closed. The audible warning will activate at a rate of 5 pulses per second.
