Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 203630  Size: SH
  1. Remove the radiator shutter control valve hoses from the shutter control valve.
  2. Place a drain pan under the radiator shutter control valve.
  3. Remove the radiator shutter control valve hoses from the engine block.
  4. Remove the radiator shutter control valve hoses from the mounting clamps.
  5. Remove the radiator shutter control valve hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator shutter control valve hoses to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the radiator shutter control valve hoses to the mounting clamps.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the control valve hose mounting clamps to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the radiator shutter control valve hoses to the engine block.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the flare nut to 14 N·m (124 lb in).

  7. Refill the engine oil to the correct level.
  8. Inspect the engine for oil leaks.
