The EBCM must be programmed with one of four selectable trim levels when a new EBCM is installed in the vehicle. A scan tool must be used to perform this function.
The ignition is ON.
The EBCM has not been programmed with a valid trim level.
• | The EBCM disables the ABS. |
• | The ABS indicator turns ON. |
The conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present and you use the scan tool Clear DTCs function.
Replace the EBCM if DTC C0279 continues to set intermittently.
