Some drivers may comment that the heater outlet hose is routed too close to the generator or that the hose contacts and rubs on the generator.
Inspect the heater outlet hose (2) routing for rub marks or possible damage. If the hose shows no evidence of damage, secure the outlet hose away from the generator using two nylon tie straps (1), P/N 12337820, or equivalent. This will create the necessary additional hose clearance at the generator.
If the heater outlet hose shows evidence of damage, replace the hose using P/N 15713862. This service hose is approximately 1105 mm (44 in) long. The hose will have to be cut down to a length of 890 mm (35 in) before installation. After installation, secure the hose with tie straps as described above. Refer to the HVAC subsection of the applicable Service Manual for heater outlet hose replacement procedures.
