Condition
Two different spark plugs are used in late 1999 and all 2000 model year
pick-up trucks identified above.
| • | Vehicles built at the Oshawa assembly plant (RPO OSG, VIN Plant
code 1) will use Denso spark plugs (type PTJ16R15). |
| • | Vehicles built at Ft. Wayne (VIN Plant code Z) and Pontiac East
(VIN Plant code E) assembly plants will use AC spark plugs (type AC 41-952). |
| • | Both Denso and AC spark plugs are completely interchangeable and
may be inter-mixed. |
Service Information
1999 and 2000 Owners Manuals will list the AC spark plug for service.
Either spark plug may be used for replacement.
Parts Information
GMSPO will provide either the AC or Denso spark plug for service. Check
the GMSPO catalog for the correct spark plug part number.
