Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment Filter to FICM
Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cables from both batteries.
- Remove the fuel tank cap.
- Remove the clamps and rubber fuel hose from the fuel filter to
the fuel injector control module (FICM) module.
Installation Procedure
- Install the hose and clamps.
- Install the fuel tank cap.
- Connect the negative battery cables to both batteries.
- Prime the fuel system at the fuel manager 30 times to purge
the air out of the hoses.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
