Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 674702 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct . Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor electrical connector (4).
  3. Loosen the clamp securing the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner assembly.
  4. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor.

  5. Pull up on the air cleaner assembly (1) to release the retainers from the air cleaner adaptor (2).

    6. Object Number: 369427 Size: SH
  6. Loosen the air cleaner housing cover screws (8).
  7. Remove the air cleaner housing cover (4).
  8. Remove the air filter element (5).
  9. Replace components as required.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 369427 Size: SH
  1. Install the air filter element (5).
  2. Install the air cleaner housing cover (4).
  3. Tighten the air cleaner housing cover screws (8) until snug.

  4. Position the air cleaner (1) onto the adaptor (2).
  5. Push the air cleaner (1) down onto the adaptor (2).

    6. Object Number: 359112 Size: SH

    Important: If the MAF/IAT sensor is installed backwards, the fuel system goes rich. An arrow (2) cast into the plastic portion of the sensor indicates proper air flow direction. The arrow must point toward the engine.

  6. Install the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner.
  7. Tighten the clamp securing the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner assembly.

  8. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector (4).
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct . Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
