Does the horizontal adjuster motor operate for approximately 1 revolution and stop?

  1. Disconnect the horizontal motor position sensor connector.
  2. Connect a DMM from the 5-volt reference circuit terminal in the position sensor harness connector to a good ground.
  3. Activate a seat adjuster switch.

Is the voltage at or near the specified value?

5 V

  1. Connect a DMM from the signal circuit terminal in the position sensor harness connector to a good ground.
  2. Activate a seat adjuster switch.

Is the voltage at or near the specified value?

5 V

  1. Connect a DMM from the 5-volt reference circuit terminal to the low reference circuit terminal in the position sensor harness connector.
  2. Activate a seat adjuster switch.

  1. Disconnect the memory seat module connector C3.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the horizontal forward switch signal circuit terminal in the harness connector to a good ground.
  3. Press the horizontal forward switch.

  1. Connect a test lamp from the horizontal rearward switch signal circuit terminal in the harness connector to a good ground.
  2. Press the horizontal rearward switch.

  1. Connect the memory seat module connector C3.
  2. Disconnect the horizontal motor control circuit connector.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the horizontal motor control circuit terminals in the harness connector.
  4. Operate the horizontal adjuster switch in both directions.

Does the test lamp illuminate when the switch is activated in both directions?
