Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 349061 Size: SH
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the bolts from the engine shield.
  4. Remove the engine shield from the vehicle.

  5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) from the generator coolant inlet pipe (3).
  6. Remove the radiator outlet hose (1) from the generator coolant inlet pipe (3).

    7. Object Number: 1206694 Size: SH
  7. Remove the bolt (4) from the generator cooler inlet pipe (3).
  8. Remove the generator coolant inlet pipe (3) from the generator (5).
  9. Open the clip (2) at the generator coolant inlet pipe (3).
  10. Remove the generator coolant inlet pipe (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1206694 Size: SH
  1. Install the generator coolant inlet pipe (3) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the generator coolant inlet pipe (3) to the generator (5).

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolt (4) to the generator coolant inlet pipe (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Close the clip (2) at the generator coolant inlet pipe (3).

  5. Install the radiator outlet hose (1) to the generator coolant inlet pipe (3).
  6. Position the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) to the generator coolant inlet pipe (3).

    7. Object Number: 349061 Size: SH
  7. Install the engine shield to the vehicle.
  8. Install the bolts to the engine shield.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  9. Lower the vehicle.

    10. Notice: The procedure below must be followed. Improper coolant level could result in a low or high coolant level condition, causing starter/generator control module damage.

  10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling .
