Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 787027  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the mirror.
  2. Remove the wire cover.
  3. Adjust the mirror to the full upward position.
  4. Remove the base trim cover.

  5. Object Number: 787028  Size: SH
  6. Loosen the screw (3) in order to remove the mirror (2) from the button assembly (1).
  7. Slide the mirror assembly in an upward motion in order to remove.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 787028  Size: SH
  1. Position the center bottom of the mirror mount against the windshield at the top of the support button (1).
  2. Slide the base of the mirror onto the button.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Make sure the mirror is firmly seated on the windshield button by pushing down on the base of the mirror.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw (3) to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in) in order to secure the mirror base to the button.

  6. Install the base trim cover.

  8. Connect the electrical connector.
  9. Install the wire cover.
  10. Reposition the mirror assembly.
