04-05 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Interior Headliner and Assist Handle Color - kw appearance body front

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Owners may comment that the headliner or assist handles do not match the interior trim color.

There are three interior trim colors available:

Dark Charcoal-I69

Tan-I52

Medium Gray-I92

The headliner color is "shale" regardless of interior trim color. The assist handle for the front passenger will match the headliner color. On Crew Cab models the rear passenger assist handle, located on the "B" pillar, will match the interior trim color.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
