Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement NV3500/NV4500 Transmissions
Removal Procedure
- Remove the manual transmission. Refer to
Transmission Replacement
for the NV 3500 transmission,
or
Transmission Replacement
for the NV 4500 transmission.
- Remove the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.
- Remove the clutch actuator cylinder.
If required, the clutch release bearing can be removed from the clutch actuator cylinder for replacement.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the clutch actuator cylinder.
- Install the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
- Install the manual transmission. Refer to
Transmission Replacement
for the NV 3500 transmission, or
Transmission Replacement
for the NV 4500 transmission.
Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement ZF S6-650 Transmission
Removal Procedure
- Remove the manual transmission. Refer to
Transmission Replacement
in Manual Transmission - ZF
S6-650.
- Remove the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.
- Remove the clutch actuator cylinder.
If required, the clutch release bearing can be removed from the clutch actuator
cylinder for replacement.
Installation Procedure
- Install the clutch actuator cylinder.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the clutch actuator cylinder bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
- Install the manual transmission. Refer to
