Rubbing Noise from the Rear Propshaft - keywords bearing bracket carrier center drive driveshaft prop rub scrape shaft

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Rubbing or scraping noise with the vehicle moving coming from the center bearing area of the two - piece rear propshaft.

Inspect the center hanger bearing bracket for the correct orientation. There is a stamping on the bracket surface showing which direction should face forward in the vehicle. If the bracket has been installed incorrectly, remove it and reinstall it in the correct direction.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
