The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

When programming an ECM on trucks equipped with the 6.6L LBZ engine the Tech 2 may stop programming and display SPS error messages.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If the ECM was programmed and SPS error message were received the ECM will need to be replaced. Before programming the new ECM contact Techline at 800-828-6860 to obtain a VCI number. Techline is aware of the programming concern and a fix is in the works.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
