A/C FREON LEAKS (REPLACE 'O' RING SEALS W/NEW P/N'S)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 87-89 G1, G2 AND G3

TRANSMISSION TYPE

Effective with vehicles manufactured after January 30, 1989 (Vehicle Identification Numbers listed below), new air conditioning system "O" ring seals which reduce the potential of Freon(R) leakage were released in Production. These new, revised "O" rings are Manufactured from a neoprene material providing increased sealing properties over the former nitrile composition.

When repairing a Freon(R) system leak, or performing a major repair to the air conditioning Freon(R) system, it is recommended the revised "O" ring seals be installed.
