CONDITION
Some 1989-90 G2 an G3 vans with the 6.2L diesel may exhibit a noise/vibration when the air conditioning compressor is engaged. This noise/vibration normally occurs between 50 to 65 MPH.
CAUSE
This noise/vibration is the result of a resonance set up in the accessory drive system with the air conditioning compressor engaged.
CORRECTION
A new A/C compressor front adjusting bracket, P/N 10163738 which replaces the existing bracket, has been released to correct this condition. Parts are currently available through GMSPO.
