A/C NOISE/VIBRATION (INSTALL A/C COMPRESSOR ADJ. BRACKET)

SUBJECT: AIR CONDITIONING NOISE/VIBRATION (INSTALL A/C COMPRESSOR ADJUSTING BRA

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1989-90 Gl,G2,G3 WITH 6.2L DIESEL

CONDITION:

---------- Some 1989-90 G-Vans with the 6.2L diesel may exhibit a noise/vibration when the air conditioning compressor is engaged. This noise/vibration normally occurs between'80 to 105 kph.

CAUSE:

------ This noise/vibration is the result of a resonance set up in the accessory drive system with air conditioning and compressor engaged.

CORRECTION:

---------- A new A/C compressor front adjusting bracket, P/N #10163738 which replaces the existing bracket, has been released to correct this condition.
