THIS BULLETIN CANCELS AND SUPERSEDES 84-B-29 (DECEMBER, 1983). ALL COPIES OF WHICH SHOULD BE DESTROYED.
Beginning July 15, 1983 (Julian date 169) all 700-R4 transmissions were produced using a new oil pump cover (Figure No. 1) and a new pump to case gasket (Figure No. 2), that prevents transmission oil from exhausting out the breather during harsh deceleration or during sharp turns.
When servicing any 1983 orr 1984 THM 700-R4 transmissions for transmission oil pump cover and pump to case gasket use the service packages listed below:

These service packages contain both a new oil pump cover and a new pump to case gasket.
