MOULDING - SERIES EMBLEM TO BODY SIDE MOULDING GAP
Some 1988 C/K models may have a gap between the series emblem and the body side moulding on the front door.
If this gap exists, it can be eliminated by performing the following procedure:
* Remove series emblem from the body side moulding.
* Clean all dirt, oil and grease from the back of the series emblem and the body side moulding.
* Using 3M tape P/N 6379 or 6380 or equivalent, cut two pieces three inches long.
* Apply the two pieces of tape to the back of the series emblem as shown in Figure 1.
* Remove protective backing from each piece and reattach the emblem to the door.
* Using a roller, firmly press the emblem to the body side moulding several times to ensure full tape contact.
* Repeat this procedure on the opposite door if this condition exists.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
