THE ENGINE OIL COOLER LINES MAY DEVELOP A LEAK AT THE REAR OF THE ENGINE.
IF THE ENGINE OIL COOLER LINES ARE IN CONTACT WITH THE FRONT OF DASH NOISE INSULATOR PAD, NORMAL MOTION OF THE ENGINE ON THE MOUNTS CAN CAUSE THE OIL COOLER LINES TO RUB AGAINST THE PAD AND WEAR A HOLE IN THE LINES.
REPLACE THE LINES AS REQUIRED FOLLOWING THE SERVICE MANUAL PROCEDURE (6B1-26). ALSO, TRIM AWAY SUFFICIENT MATERIAL FROM THE FRONT OF DASH NOISE INSULATOR PAD TO PROVIDE CLEARANCE FOR THE LINES AS NEEDED TO PREVENT CONTACT WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. IT IS PERMISSIBLE TO ALSO GENTLY BEND THE LINES IN THE AREA WHERE THEY PASS NEAR THE PAD TO GAIN ADDITIONAL CLEARANCE, BUT ONLY IF NECESSARY.
