Battery Indicator Does Not Light

  1. Disconnect the Generator connector.
  2. Move the Ignition Switch to the Run position.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from BRN (25) wire to ground.

Does the Battery Indicator light?

Go to Step 4

  1. Backprobe I/P Cluster connector with a fused jumper from BRN (25) wire terminal 19 to ground.

Does the Battery Indicator light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the Instrument Cluster connector.
  2. Measure voltage between Instrument Cluster connector PNK (39) wire terminal 22 to ground.

Is the voltage reading greater than the value?

12 V

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair or Replace Generator.

Repair open in BRN (25) wire between Instrument Cluster and Generator.

Replace Instrument Cluster.

Repair open in PNK (39) wire between I/P Fuse Block and Instrument Cluster.
