Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation Left

  1. If valve rocker arm cover gasket was removed from the valve rocker arm cover, install a NEW valve rocker arm cover gasket.

  2. Object Number: 354006  Size: SH
  3. Install the valve rocker arm cover with gasket.

  4. Object Number: 354009  Size: SH
  5. Install the spark plug wiring harness bracket(s) onto the valve rocker arm cover.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the valve rocker arm cover bolts.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  9. Remove the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve (PCV) and crankcase ventilation tube.

Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation Right

  1. If valve rocker arm cover gasket was removed from the valve rocker arm cover, install a NEW valve rocker arm cover gasket.

  2. Object Number: 354010  Size: SH
  3. Install the valve rocker arm cover with gasket.

  4. Object Number: 354012  Size: SH
  5. Place spark plug wiring harness bracket(s) onto valve rocker arm cover.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   9. Install the crankcase ventilation tube.
